Read the statements below and rate yourself on a scale of one to five (1=never; 3=sometimes; 5=always). Then add your numbers together to reach a final score.
If your score is 8 or lower: You do well at apologizing and saying "I'm sorry." You are willing to admit your part and work toward making things better.
If your score is 9-15: You have difficulty in some situtations saying "I'm sorry." While you may see the benefit of apologing, it is still difficult for you.
If your score is 16 or higher: You struggle with saying "I'm sorry." It may feel easier to blame othrs or just not say anything at all. Consider trying to be the first to apologize next time. Be specific for what you are apologizing for and be willing to brainstorm how you can work together to make things better.
